Academic Support Mentor -- Mansfield (NG18) -- Secondary -- Full Time
Are you a recent UK based university graduate with a desire to find an exciting Academic Support Mentor role in a wonderful Alternative Provision Academy for the academic year?

Maybe you’re looking to find an Academic Support Mentor position supporting the class teacher whilst also conducting 1:1 & small group support?

In this role as an Academic Support Mentor, you will be working Monday to Friday inside of the school for the remainder of the academic year beginning in January 2024 whilst also having access to multiple online CPD courses on topics such as SEN, Safeguarding & Mental Health.

Academic Support Mentor -- Role Information:
Academic Support Mentor
Located in Mansfield (NG18)
Beginning January 2024 -- Ending July 2024 but option to go permanent
Based in one secondary academy -- Monday to Friday role
Paid 430 per week term time only
Working hours: 08.30am -- 15.00pm
Preparing and implementing lessons alongside class teacher
Planning and conducting 1:1 & small group support inside and out of class
Supporting children with complex learning difficulties
Tailoring sessions based around Education Health Care Plans

Academic Support Mentor -- Applicant Requirements:
Minimum 2:1 UK based university degree
Strong academic background
Prior experience working with young people
Good organisation and communication skills
Passionate about the development of children with SEN
Patient and understanding of time needed to progress
Ability to build rapport with young people
  • Full UK driving license required*
