The Headteacher and Governors at Bedford High School seek to appoint an effective Academic Mentor.

The successful candidate will teach individual and small groups of students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the student in school and elsewhere. You will support some students in their lessons and be able to assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development and attainment of students and to keep such records as are required. We are looking for a colleague who is enthusiastic, caring, self-motivated, hardworking, organised and able to positively contribute to the ethos of our school. You will have high standards and expectations in all areas of school life and will be committed to a teamwork approach. Flexibility will be required to meet the needs of our students.

Bedford High School is a highly successful and popular school that continues to improve. We gained Ofsted ‘Good’ in our last inspection, and the school maintains very strong examination performance at KS4.
