Generator Power is the UKs largest independent rental generator company, running a fleet from 10KVA to 1250KVA sets along with panels and cables. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Generator Power is growing rapidly and increasing their UK coverage from Scotland to the south of England. They are now looking to expand their engineering team in the Hinckley area. This growth offers the opportunity for 4 on, 4 off Day Shift Generator Engineers.

Day Shift Generator Engineer (4 on, 4 off hour day shifts Inc weekends) 7am -7pm 12 hours worked, 11 hours paid 1 hour break.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers equipment.

Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers equipment.

Preparation of equipment for hire.

Installation and disconnection of equipment on site. (Synchronising where appropriate).

Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation. (Wiring in where appropriate).

Loading and unloading of vehicles.

Carry out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are tidy.

Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure.
Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.

Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner.

Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.

Qualifications/education required:

High school or equivalent.

Fork Lift Truck Licence (Desired but full training given)

Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering

C&G qualifications.

Electrical skills / Qualifications would be an advantage.

CSCS Card (Desired but full training given)

Skills and knowledge

Diesel engines Kubota, Perkins, Cummins, Deutz, Yanmar, volvo

Alternators

Fan belts

Fuel pumps

Engine rebuilds

Reconfigure from three phase to single phase
