We have a fantastic opportunity for a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our client in Chippenham on a permanent basis, This role comes with flexible working from home available.Benefits

Main Duties
  • Act as highest technical escalation point for the Service Desk Engineers
  • Resolve complex technical issues related including root cause analysis
  • Mentor more junior technical team members to upskill team capability
  • Own the technical knowledge base, writing and reviewing knowledge articles to ensure technical accuracy
  • Review requests for change and provide technical approval
  • Implement assigned project work packages to a high standard against agreed dates
  • Take technical ownership of P1 incidents to ensure a rapid restoration of service
  • Own the design and implementation of Service Improvement initiatives
Essentials Skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
  • 3 years’ experience working on a service desk
  • Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Office 365& Azure (migration, deployment management)
  • Managing wired& wireless networks, including Switches, Routers, Firewalls (including VLANs, STP, LACP)
  • Secure networking, VPNs, ACL, IPS, IDS
  • Technical backup and disaster recovery
Desirable Skills
  • Microsoft Azure/Office 365/Modern Desktop certifications
  • Experience with VMware/Hyper-V hypervisors
  • Microsoft Security (EMS, ATP, Intune)
Salary£30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experienceNotes37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, due to the nature of the job some work at weekends and outside of normal hours may be required.
