Keep reading.We are recruiting for 2 hands on Plant Workshop Supervisors who will be leading a team of Mechanical Maintenance Engineers and Heavy Plant fitters. If you are interested in joining a local family run business within the London Colney area and you are based around the North Watford / St Albans, Luton, Harpenden or Berkhamsted area then this role will be commutable for you.Your duties as The Plant Workshop Supervisor
  • You will support, assist, train and lead a team of Heavy Plant fitters & Mechanical Maintenance Engineers.
  • You will liaise with colleagues to optimise process efficiency
  • You will conduct risk assessments to meet health and safety guidelines
  • You will be involved with Purchasing & Stock Control
  • You will provide efficient cost management of spares and repairs to equipment and vehicles
  • You will Check and process time sheets and inspection reports.
  • You will support and inspire and develop your team to achieve and exceed targets
  • You will step in and maintain and repair of heavy plant machinery when required
  • You will continuously improve processes and H&S protocols
Ideal CandidateTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have previous experience within the Construction or similar industry, as a team leader, workshop manager,workshop supervisor,workshop foreperson, plant manager or a really good plant fitter keen to step into a management role.You will hold a full UK driving license. You will also have previous experience carrying out any maintenance, repairs, and services to a range of plant machinery including, Loading Shovels, Counter Balance, 360 excavators. You may have worked in construction, quarrying. civil engineering, agricultural plant, operated plant, heavy plant or similar, as well as being able to commit to the prerequisites below.
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime, when required to support business requirements.
Benefits
  • AM Shift Standard @£18.50 per Hour / OT @£27.75 Per Hour
  • PM Shift Standard @20.50 Per Hour / OT @30.75 Per hour
