A 1st line support engineer is required to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure services, hardware, and connectivity for customers across the Service Centre and field and to strive to maintain maximum uptime of all services across the business.

To Support New Digital Scanners to the business including testing Building and maintaining operational value,

To provide reactive support and proactive maintenance to a Windows Server environment,

To integrate new Offices / Mergers into the business with Limited disruption to daily running


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide 1st level support to 600 servers, 5000+ PCs, laptops and tablet devices.
  • Windows
  • Active Directory
  • Office 365
  • Hardware Support (training will be given)
  • To be able to Create working Training documentation for New Technologies introduced to the business
  • Support with the Companies Asset management Rollout Program
  • Maintaining Inventories of equipment Held at Support centre and site
  • To Provide on-site Installations of equipment when required
  • To Support Building of new site servers and IT equipment when Required
  • Support with Acquisition Site Setup and configuration Pre – Post Go live
  • To Maintain and Provide Support for New Site Software’s and Migration from Previous versions
  • To Provide Support to sites Currently not within the Business network before Acquisition

Other Duties


  • Implement and maintain central virtualised infrastructure.
  • Administration, security and maintenance of user accounts across the business
  • Ensure all company data is kept secure and protected against theft, misuse and loss.
  • Corporate level network management and security.
  • Administration and support of cloud-based email provision.
  • Provide ad hoc technical expertise as required - to support, for example, AV equipment in meeting rooms.
  • To ensure that all servers and clients are kept up to date with security patches and updates.
  • Systems operations monitoring and trend analysis.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Mobile device support
  • To work effectively as part of a dedicated Infrastructure team as well as working in cross-functional project teams within the wider business.
