Deep Silver Dambuster Studios is on the lookout for a 1st Line Support Engineer to join our in-house IT team. This is a fast-paced role where you will be required to think on your feet and improve quickly to deliver as part of a team.

You will need to have a good knowledge of PC hardware, standard Windows operating systems and how to install and manage software packages.

As you will be providing support to the studio in-person and remotely, customer service skills are essential and you will be expected to display them from the outset.

You will be joining the studio as we work on the next instalment of the highly anticipated AAA game title, Dead Island 2.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Support the Dambuster team and studio resources (i.e. meeting rooms).
  • Supporting and maintaining Windows based machines.
  • Supporting applications, commercial and bespoke within the development teams.
  • Escalating issues in a timely manner to the more senior team members as needed.
  • Maintaining the asset database.
  • Keeping all IT office areas tidy and accessible.
  • Software distribution.
  • Monitoring the ticket system and responding efficiently – escalating as required.
  • Preparing for and attending daily scrums; providing updates where needed.
  • Using associated project management systems and participating in meetings as defined by managers, project managers and/or producers to keep the broader team up to date with progress.
  • From time to time, you may be required to do tasks outside of your immediate remit (such tasks will usually be closely aligned with your skill set or knowledge database).
  • Any other task as may be reasonably assigned by a member of the management team, from time-to-time.
  • Documenting and presenting processes, techniques, knowledge, or guidelines based on the production of work.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of PC Hardware.
  • Windows Desktop OS use and fault finding.
  • Microsoft Office use and fault finding.
  • Support Desk Ticket System use.
