Are you looking to make a significant positive impact on children’s lives by working as a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to support them?

We are looking for a positive, bright, and confident graduate for this 1:1 Behaviour Mentor role at a reputable secondary special school based in Barking to help students make a significant and important change to children’s behaviour for a brighter and better future for them. The school specialises in students with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

1:1 Behaviour Mentor| About the School:

1:1 Behaviour Mentor| Job Summary:

  • Work with students in Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Provide 1 to 1 personalised support to teenagers with SEN
  • Write reports and deliver them to head of the SEN team to improve the children’s learning
  • Full-Time position working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm
  • £470 per week on PAYE basis

1:1 Behaviour Mentor| About You:

  • Awarded minimum 2:1 Psychology Degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Excellent for you to gain valuable experience to follow your aspiring career goals to become an educational or clinical psychologist
  • Child facing work experience with students who have special educational needs is desirable but not required
  • Passionate about working with children who require extra educational and social support
  • You are patient, compassionate and caring
