We are currently working with an exciting, young and growing Building & Development company based in the Oxfordshire region. The business specialises in the construction of high spec residential houses and apartments (sites typically under 15 units) across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Set up by 2 Brothers, they have ran the business themselves in recent years however as the company begins to expand and their work pipeline grows they have identified the need to appoint their very first Site Manager in to the business.

The Role

Role

After some discussions with the the 2 owners, we have identified the below bullet points as some of the key deliverables / experience needed to be successful in this role
  • Experience managing a building Site as #1 from ’cradle-to-grave’
  • Management of multiple subcontractors
  • You won’t be responsible for initial ordering of materials etc. but expected to notify the 2 owners if there is a shortage so that they can arrange.
  • Lead on Health & Safety
  • Good Team Manager - motivate the subcontractors and workforce
  • Understand construction drawings
  • Basic computer skills

You will effectively be the #1 Manager on site, reporting back to the 2 owners of the business who will be visiting as an when necessary.

The Project

Our client have received planning permission for the conversion of an old Farm in to 8 High Spec Houses in the Wiltshire area. The project will involve the careful ’conversion’ of the existing buildings in to 8 High Spec houses (4x Semi-Detached blocks).
