About our Store
Lush has been at home in London’s busy Victoria Station since 2000, located next to platforms 15-19. The station is the second busiest station in London, seeing approximately 80 million people passing through every year pre-pandemic. The store is a firm favourite with commuters picking up their essentials on the way home as well as tourists both national and international visiting London. It has a wealth of offices nearby, leading to great potential to continue to build and drive the business within the local area.
Pre-pandemic our annual turnover was approaching £1.5mln and one of our core strengths was an average conversion rate close to 50%, consistently remaining one of the highest performers in the UK&I in this respect. During the last full financial year, FY18/19, the store welcomed over 199,400 visitors through its doors, converting 48.8% of them into customers. The biggest category sales belong to Bath Bombs for the past few years at 19%,followed by FaceandHair. As a station store, we have been hit particularly hard since the start of the covid-19 pandemic. Despite a significant loss of footfall, we are still currently trending above our financial forecast, seeing improvements week on week and ended the FY20/21 with a positive profit margin. Rebuilding our conversion rate back up towards the 50% point and continuing to increase average spend are currently the biggest opportunities for the prospective new Trainee Manager, alongside a strategy to attract footfall.
For this role, we are accepting your application in any format you wish. This could be a traditional cover letter, podcast, or even a video (both no more than 2-3 minutes long).
