Mount Street Academy is an outstanding infant and nursery school in the heart of Lincoln City, delivering high-quality early years education for children from three to seven years old. We are looking to recruit a Temporary Teaching Assistant to join our lively and enthusiastic team. The job will entail working alongside class teachers in meeting the needs of pupils through high quality teaching and intervention, we will therefore be looking for evidence of skills that will mean the successful applicant is able to quickly adapt planning to meet a range of needs.
We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:
- Has experience of supporting children with ASD and developmental needs.
- Has excellent communication skills and can evidence experience of working successfully within a team.
- Can provide evidence of how they have adapted planning to meet a child/children’s specific needs within a class and the impact of this.
- Can talk knowledgably about up to date theories and evidence-based approaches that support the progress of pupils.
- Can communicate effectively with parents/carers.
- Can liaise with outside agencies and follow professional advice provided by specialists.
- Shows initiative in making adaptions to the curriculum as well as working alongside the class teacher, following direction and planning provided.

Fluency Duty
In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification and will be subject to the relevant pre-employment checks which will, where applicable, include a health check, a DBS check with children’s barred listand satisfactory references.
