Job DescriptionSenior Day Shift Engineer - Client Direct - Corporate Office - London - £53,500 Per annum + Bonus

Exciting opportunity to work In House / Client Direct Company in London. My client is looking for a Senior Day Shift Engineer to be based in a critical / commercial building in London (City / Liverpool Street). The successful candidates will be electrically ORmechanically biased (C&G / NVQ) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a critical site (i.e. Bank, Data centre, Blue chip office etc). Working with the maintenance team on site, he or she will have experience leading a team and be required to carry out mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance to the following. In return the company are offering a competitive salary of £53,500, further training and career progression.

  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Manage the shift team.
  • Deal with hands-on work when needed.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Carry out routine quality checks on workforce activities, record keeping and general housekeeping.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilized for all tasks (PPM and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.

Hours of work

4 on 4 off days only shift pattern

07:00am to 19:00pm

Requirements

  • Electrically OR Mechanically qualified Level 3 / HNC / HND
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of critical plant: Chillers, HVAC, UPS systems, Cooling Towers etc
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must be able to get to site for 07:00am start (On day shift)

Highly Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Any further qualifications (i.e. Electrical or Air Conditioning etc)
  • Experience working in a bank / data centre / commercial Office
  • High Voltage - Experience / Qualification - Current or expired
  • Previous experience a day and night shift pattern
