My client is a boutique litigation practice in central London and is well known as an offshoot from a magic circle firm. This LLP is a boutique law firm based in the heart of the City of London specialising in complex and international commercial dispute resolution. The firm provides high quality and efficient representation for its clients’ most difficult and valuable disputes
They are currently inviting applications from experienced lawyers who have worked at leading City litigation practices or the Commercial Bar. Most importantly they are looking for highly driven lawyers with the highest of academic credentials, and ambition to supersede the crowd in being successful in taking on some of the most interesting and complex disputes in commercial litigation. This firm offers exceptional quality work and a tailored approach to dealing with their clients. They manage court litigation relating to international disputes taking place in off-shore or other foreign jurisdictions. Areas of litigation covered are disputes involving Banking and financial services, Companies (including shareholders and directors), Commercial contracts, Competition (private enforcement actions), Fraud/corruption, IT disputes, International trade, Insurance and reinsurance, Mergers & acquisitions (including completion accounts and warranties), Funds and private equity disputes, Private international issues, Professional negligence (particularly accountants and lawyers), International human rights, and Senior executive compensation and poaching disputes.
The firm is engaged on a wide-range of contentious matters before the English courts and domestic and international arbitral tribunals. The firm is often instructed on high value claims in the public eye and against counterparties represented by leading City and international law firms. Senior members of the firm appear regularly as advocates.
We are looking for a managing associate to join the firm. The successful candidate will join a collegiate and diverse team (speaking many languages and qualified in a number of jurisdictions) undertaking complex and interesting work and play a pivotal role in achieving the best possible outcomes for our clients. They do not operate billable hours targets and we encourage remote working.

The successful candidate will possess:
  • 5 to 10 years post qualification dispute resolution experience at a leading national or international law firm
  • An excellent academic record
  • Strong and effective communication skills (both oral and written)
  • The ability to manage cases day to day with minimal supervision
  • The ability to win the confidence and trust of clients and third parties
  • High standards of professionalism in the office and in the performance of work

Language skills are useful but not essential.
