Position: Secondary Classroom Assistant

Location: Secondary School North of Cheltenham

Hours: 25 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent (starting September)

Salary: £14,334 - £15,072 per annum

About The Role

Ivy Resource Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Classroom Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school north of Cheltenham. This is a permanent position, offering 25 hours per week, starting in September.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support for pupils, teachers, the curriculum, and the school.
  • Support the learning of students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assist learners working mainly within Year 3 to Year 7 Age Related Expectations (within the secondary phase).
  • Support pupils studying GCSEs at KS4 and other accreditations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children/students within the past 4 years.
  • Experience supporting the learning of students with special educational needs.
  • Working knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Confidence in supporting learners across various age groups and educational stages.
