Your future role


This role involves managing the maintenance aspects of an ongoing Class 334 heavy overhaul project, ensuring that the team performs tasks correctly and adheres to established processes. Responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs). The focus is on maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency throughout the project.


We’ll look to you for:


  • Lead all aspects of the team in the maintenance, servicing and movement of traction and rolling stock to meet customer requirements within the working timetable.
  • To deliver SOSB/EOSB to team members.
  • To be responsible for the deployment of team members in line with the shift throughput requirements.
  • Co-ordinate line of route ensuring that equipment, tooling and work environment is left in a safe place
  • Ensure all documentation and procedures are at the correct revision and signed off in full when completed.
  • Deputise for Production Manager as required to ensure business needs are maintained.
  • Responsible for leading team member to uphold site safety, including ACPP and RGS, reporting of any unsafe acts, process/procedure deviation
  • Leading and prioritising workloads agreed with the PM/SPM.
  • Ensure that all worksheets are correctly provided to the required standard
  • Completion of the shift paperwork 100% (exam, daily, safety sheets)
  • Ensure that the team follow the standard processes and work to the standard on the job.
  • Provide real time updates to the Production Manager on work progress against the agreed plan, SQDC deviations and adverse events.
  • Be proactive in co-ordinating material, tooling, line side checks and resource.
  • Support the team to identify process changes and implement smarter ways of working
