Our client are a Property Development Company based in Manchester, and they are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their team.

Reporting to The Head of Corporate Services, the HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing various human resources functions within the organisation. This position requires a dynamic individual with a good understanding of HR processes, leadership skills, and the ability to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services to support the overall business objectives.

KEY TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILTIES -

Oversee the end-to-end delivery of HR services including, but not limited to; recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and offboarding.

Develop and implement strategic HR service delivery plans aligned with the organisation’s goals and objectives.

Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations in all HR service activities.

Continuously evaluate and enhance HR service delivery processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Identify and implement best practices, tools, and technologies to streamline HR operations.

Act as a point of contact for complex employee relations issues, working closely with Business Teams and Management to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment.

Develop meaningful relationships as the trusted HR contact for all employee and manager queries.

Manage complex employee relations including disciplinary, grievance and attendance issues.

Manage relationships with external HR service providers and vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met.

Evaluate and select new vendors as needed, negotiating contracts and agreements.

Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, retain, and promote a diverse workforce

Identify training needs to implement and monitor training programs.

Stay abreast of changes in employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR services are consistently in compliance.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risk.

Lead, develop and implement people strategies in line with objectives, executive initiatives through to successful delivery focussing on employee experience and support the development of the HR Administrator.

Key Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, UK employment law, and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in process improvement and implementing HR technologies.
  • Ability to analyse data and use metrics for informed decision-making.
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 or 7 certification is required
  • Proven HR management or executive experience
  • Proven experience (3 years) in a managerial HR role, with a focus on HR service delivery
  • Proven track record of successful team management and development.

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute strategic initiatives.
