Our client accounting team works closely with our clients to ensure we provide a market leading accounting service. The team is responsible for the management of property and lease data, best-practice service charge account management, and the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting, all combining to provide a day to day property accounting service that is a seamless extension of our clients’ own accounting teams.

Working in conjunction with the surveying, central accounts and site teams the client accountants work diligently to ensure all financial payments and processes are managed efficiently and effectively across all aspects of the instruction.

An opportunity has become available for anClient Accountant for a one year Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave. This will be based in our London Office to provide administrative support to the Client Accounting team by taking responsibility for Client Accounting tasks.

Essential duties will include:

  • Report to their line manager on a regular basis and keep them informed on relevant issues relating to the designated portfolio.
  • Ensure the smooth take on of new instructions and handover of outgoing properties, liaising with external parties as required.
  • Billing of periodic rent, service charges and insurance charges to tenants
  • Billing of directly recoverable and ad hoc charges to tenants
  • Billing/Recovery of void/vacant unit service charge liabilities from client
  • Preparation and submission of funding requests to client
  • Maintaining tenant deposit account records and bank reconciliations
  • Familiarise yourself with properties, client requirements, and general administrative processes for the portfolio
  • Be familiar with RICS regulations, CIS, VAT & NRL requirements, and the procedures manual
  • Completion of service charge reconciliations

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Strong TRAMPS knowledge desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organised, able to prioritise tasks, and work under pressure
  • Self motivated and proactive
  • Effective PC skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft and Google packages
  • Familiar with Excel and be able to produce basic spreadsheets
  • Ability to work within strict deadlines
  • Flexible attitude to changes in the company, IT systems and the role
