Job Title: Documentation and Logistics Administrator

Salary: £22,500 per annum

Location: Burgess Hill

Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm - 35 hours a week

We’re delighted to be working with our client, a well-established business in Burgess Hill, in their search for a documentation and Logistics Administrator.

The main purpose of the role is to check import documentation is present and correct, ensure the accurate recording of information arriving into goods-in and to ensure all necessary documentation and certification is compiled for product exportation, as well as assisting in the organisation and management of external couriers.

This is predominantly a desk-based position, however there will be an expectation that you’re flexible to your work. You’ll be physically situated within the Warehouse and as such there may be a need for you to be involved in general warehouse duties from time to time.

The Role
  • Managing goods-in processes ensuring all products are correctly recorded and stored
  • Meticulously checking import documentation is correct, present, and matches across orders and database systems
  • Creating and checking product specification sheets and product certificates
  • Undertaking export licence applications
  • Booking couriers and following up with deliveries
  • Work with internal departments to ensure all relevant Import/Export documentation is completed so that shipments comply with legislation and customer demands and are processed as smoothly as possible by Couriers/Border Agencies
  • Work to ensure stock is accurately recorded, regularly checked and pro-actively managed
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers
  • Using internal systems - Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Sage X3

The Person
  • Demonstratable ability to maintain accurate records and files
  • Adaptable and practical - able to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritising skills
  • Good communication skills - oral, written and interpersonal

Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a regulated industry checking / creating documentation - in a document control / QC / QA role would be advantageous
  • Previous experience in a Warehouse environment desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Office Experience
  • Strong general IT skills and experience picking up new systems quickly
