Are you looking to become a qualified accountant? We are recruiting for a Trainee Accountant to join a dynamic firm of accountants to train through either the AAT or ACCA graduate route. The AAT route will be open to non-graduates and this can lead on to ACCA once the AAT is completed.

This is an excellent opportunity to embark upon a journey that will give a solid career with job security and potential for rapid career progression, whilst studying towards an ACCA qualification.

Duties

As Trainee Accountant you will learn all aspects of accountancy and your day-today duties will grow as you grow to include
  • Accounts preparation
  • Audit
  • Bookkeeping
  • Corporate and personal taxation
  • Ad hoc client work
You will be enrolled onto the firm’s ACCA or AAT training scheme and you will be fully supported in your studies whilst learning ’on the job’ to gain a fully rounded set of accounting skills.

We welcome applications from candidates with the following skills and attributes:
  • As ACCA trainee - be a recent graduate with a minimum 2:2
  • As AAT trainee - ideally a school leaver with around 112 UCAS points (this is flexible for the right candidate)
  • Have the ambition to become a qualified accountant
  • Good IT skills - MS Office (Excel & Word) and familiarity with accounting software would be an advantage
  • Be motivated with a keen eye for detail
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team working skills
