Role Overview

Your role is to work along-side one of our strategic clients to provide round the clock, on-site Engineering & Facility Support, based in the control room you will provide oversight to the smooth running of the facility and its critical infrastructure 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be required to monitor the performance of critical systems and assets to ensure the best possible experience is delivered to the customer. A key part of the team providing technical support for the site team, control planned maintentance works, electrical switching and organising reactive response though to resolution through leading the reactive response to emergency events/incidents and bring them to a safe conclusion. Ie Fire, Flood, Power Outage, ensuring the customer is kept updated at all times. You will be required to have an in depth understanding of Electrical and Mechanical systems.

  • Provide proactive monitoring and fault/issue identification across various systems.
  • Enable effective response plans to mitigate impact to the system(s) and overall service delivery and see through to resolution.
  • Deliver effective communication and escalation both internally and externally.
  • Administration of subcontractor maintenance & emergency callout (both planned & reactive)
  • Work closely with the team to develop and test training exercises for scenario testing.
  • Carry out duties of Electrical AP for site.

What we are looking for

A well rounded and experienced Engineer with formal qualifications to attain electrical Approved Person Status (if not already), such as City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent, 17th/18th edition IEE wiring regulations and experience using a range of maintenance equipment mechanical systems knowledge is also essential.

We are after a team member with a great customer focus, an effective communicator, who has a sound knowledge of BMS based engineering applications and able to work on own initiative.


Working Pattern

This is a shift based role of which the working pattern is – 4 days on/6 days off, 4 nights on/6 nights off – repeating.

Shifts are 07:00-19:00/19:00-07:00
