Employer Brand & Attraction Senior Manager - Experienced Hire

Location flexible: Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Reading, Watford offices or other regional KPMG offices*

Fixed Term Contract - 18 months

The work will be strategic in focus and more complex and higher risk in delivery. Your objective will be to accelerate solutions and do work that matters to underpin reaching hiring and inclusion, diversity, and equity (IDE) targets.

With an excellent track record at a senior level as Employer Brand/Recruitment Marketing SME, you’ll bring market knowledge and a drive to deliver quality impactful solutions that will amplify our brand and differentiate us, in an increasingly complex and competitive recruiting landscape. Insights and data driven, you’ll be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and have the skills and experience to positively influence, whilst also being confident in working autonomously.

Responsibilities:
  • Accountable through line manager (Head of Brand & Attraction) for understanding mid-long-term Experienced Hire recruitment strategy and targets, budgets, attraction challenges and barriers to growth with a view to building effective campaigns that will deliver on these ambitions.
  • For strategic initiatives and complex campaigns taking a leadership role, in providing compelling and well-thought-out solutions and having the confidence to present and influence for effective outcomes - often at leadership level.
  • Creative lead for experienced hire growth campaigns - ensuring strategic drivers such as our purpose, our values, Our KPMG (EVP), Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) plus, talent motivators are strategically built in across the whole cycle. Lead in supporting related channel strategy planning, development, and drive campaign activation to reach successful ROI.
  • You’ll build trusted external supplier relationships and be responsible for writing quality briefs (creative and media), inspiring and influencing quality creative outputs - innovative and on brand.
  • You’ll be comfortable networking at all levels - building effective and collaborative relationships - both internally (clients and cross-functional teams).
  • Accountable for developing a pro-active presence in the market to support growth initiatives that demonstrates an understanding of the key target audiences.
  • Take an integrated and cross-functional vantage to developing attraction solutions.
  • Lead and champion direct sourcing marketing solutions, developing innovative strategies to build a suite of marketing collateral for Recruiters to use in direct engagement/attraction.
  • Use data to story-tell and clearly report impact and ROI.
  • Responsible for actively seeking out and utilising new attraction solutions, cutting edge technology, social media, events marketing, partnerships etc. to open-up new candidate pools.
  • Values led, inspiring leader and mentor to the wider team.
  • Build recognition and positive profile of Brand and Attraction CoE internally, and externally through attendance at events, leadership articles (where it makes sense) etc.
  • Champion and trail-blaze using KPMG’s new global brand and Our KPMG (EVP).


Knowledge/Experience
  • Substantial Employer Brand/Recruitment Marketing experience gained in complex organisations dealing with multiple layers of stakeholders at a senior level. Professional Services background or a knowledge of this specialist market would be advantageous.
  • Ability to write quality creative briefs, succinctly capturing the requirements, and be a high impact communicator leading and inspiring colleagues and suppliers through the creative process to achieve the best results.
  • Experience of budget management - commercially minded with responsibility for delivering effective campaigns.
  • Digital and social marketing track record.
  • Ability to operate at a strategic level yet still having the ability to understand granular detail to make informed recommendations and, if required, get stuck in.
  • Collaborative leadership style driving inclusion, leads by example, seeks continuous improvement of team and self. Proactive approach and self-motivated to work independently, while also able to work well in a close-knit team.
  • Resilient and performs well in a high-performance and consultative environment. Dynamic networker, responds well to change, can multi-task and work efficiently against deadlines. Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritise and direct resources to deliver results.
  • Effective computer skills (including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Word).

  • The Brand and Attraction team are based across multiple locations, so there’s flexibility in regional UK base for this opportunity e.g. Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Reading, Watford, etc.
