The Group has a strong distribution and multi-brand retail net with two sophisticated boutiques under the name of Tourbillon and Hour Passion.Swatch Group is also an important player in advanced nanomechanical, nanoelectronic and Bluetooth technologies essential to watchmaking and other industries.Job DescriptionOur Customer Service centre based in Southampton provides a full servicing operation to brands produced by the Swatch Group.Here at Swatch Group (UK), we are looking for committed and passionate people, with a a serious eye for quality to join our Watch Repair and Servicing Workshop as a Diagnostic Technician. You will play a pivotal part in our customer service operation, ultimately supporting the overall service received by our customers and internal stakeholders.The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and maintain exceptional standards of quality within a fast-paced environment. You may have worked in a previous role Diagnostic or Testing role, which required extreme attention to detail and dexterity or working with small components or tools. You also may have a keen interest in Watches and would like to begin your career in the industry. Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician is not required (but is an advantage).
  • Provide a consistently accurate, technical, and timely customer focused diagnostic
  • Adhere to brand working instructions for prestige and luxury time pieces
  • Service Warranty decision
  • Watch identification for all further communications
  • Provide accurate description of the watch condition and the service need or defect
  • Identify mandatory and optional components / services and proposed service types
  • Decision for outsourcing (brand HQ etc.)
  • Counterfeit watch identification

  • Professionally conscious with an ability to maintain high level working relationships
  • Impeccable attention to detail and motivated to follow specific technical instructions and criteria
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with an effective approach to prioritising own workload
  • A flexible and patient outlook to the requirements of a multi-brand working environment where switching between instructions is of utmost importance
  • Experience of working towards set targets within a service driven industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills And Experience
  • An interest in horology/watchmaking with long-term ambitions to develop a career
  • Good level of dexterity
Professional RequirementsEssential Qualifications
  • 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (or equivalent)
