Business Development Manager
Recra are working in partnership with a leading multisite recycling business who are innovative forward thinking and have a value added focus to the recycling world.
Role Purpose:
To secure and maintain consistent outlets for materials to end markets for reprocessing primarily for our client whilst working in conjunction with the group.
Major Role Challenge:

Role Purpose:
To secure and maintain consistent outlets for materials to end markets for reprocessing primarily for our client whilst working in conjunction with the group.
Major Role Challenge:
- To grow relationships with recycling plants in the UK and overseas for an ever increasing volume profile.
- Knowledge and understanding of the wide variety of material grades.
- Understanding the complexities of the recycling industry with regards to both the Paper and plastics recycling markets and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- To understand grades and volume requirements across 3 operating platforms
- To identify and source potential sales opportunities and long-term business partnerships in line with Company objectives.
- To support Commercial Purchasing Team in ensuring tenders can be met in terms of material sales.
- Determine and prioritise future business growth opportunities.
- Manage growth of external volume from other Waste Recycling Companies.
- Maintain and manage relationships effectively amongst the customer base, existing, new and prospective.
- Managing price negotiations and service level agreements with new and existing customers to drive improved profitability enduring best value.
- Weekly Meeting with Operations Managers regarding orders and workload
- Authorising of Sales Invoices
- Completion of month end stock report for Financial Controller
- Managing Visitor meetings
- Coordinate with Sales Executive in relation to direct export loads.
- Gather and analyse market intelligence as appropriate.
- Keep Company Board of Directors updated on market developments.
- To ensure that new business gained is managed in accordance with agreed margin/profitability criteria.
- Daily management of Sales Team
- To ensure Company standards and values are adhered to.
