We are looking to appoint a highly motivated Associate Civil Engineer to work across an array of projects within our Urban Infrastructure and Highways team in London. Working closely with the Director you will be responsible for leading major projects, across sectors to include; residential, highway schemes, local authority, leisure, defence, education, healthcare and heritage.
As we have adopted a hybrid approach this role will involve both home and office working.
You will work to achieve the disciplines planned targets through excellent service delivery to our clients. You will be required to liaise directly with clients and where appropriate support business development activities along with supporting team development.
You main responsibilities as Associate Civil Engineer:
- Prepare and oversee designs and reports
- Chair meetings and oversee production for minutes of meetings
- Active involvement with bidding, fee tendering and client interviews
- Deputies for the Director as appropriate
- Manage design teams
- Represent the firm at client meetings and carry out presentation delivery
- Involvement with the recruitment of staff
- Day-to-day control of programming and planning, staff resources and monitoring of team utilisation
About You
You will have significant experience and CEng or IEng status.As well as a proactive approach to self-development and improvement, you will have the ability to motivate and manage a small team of talented engineers.
Technical Attributes required:
- Using Microsoft Office, Revit/AutoCAD
- Experience liaising with clients and managing major projects
- Good knowledge with our industry design software packages Revit/ AutoCAD, Civil 3D and WinDes
- Competent in the use of engineering surveying equipment
- Strong knowledge of conditions of contract
- Good report writing abilities

- Excellent communication skills, demonstratable through writing and presenting
- An ability to build a good rapport with other parts of the business and demonstrate a strong understanding of our ethos and business goals are also desired
- Team player with a can-do attitude
