Here in our Lond office we are looking to recruit for an Analyst within our VMaster Team. This role is required to perform business requirements analysis and to help manage projects for the VMaster team globally. The interest rates derivatives space is a complex environment requiring in-depth knowledge of the business and regulatory environments.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Role involves interacting with business representatives, technology teams, Operations staff and control functions
documenting analysis and requirements, developing specifications, interacting with global teammates to resolve unanswered questions
planning out technical solutions and following up to ensure team stays on track
following up with colleagues to ensure that they are meeting their deliverables
interact with global development teams to gather, organize and present information to various compliance partners including Audit and other enterprise teams
Candidate will work with members of the Trade Life Cycle team located in AMRS, EMEA and APAC
The Team:
The VMaster team is a global development team of about 20 people with associates located in New York, London, Paris and Singapore. The group is part of the larger TLC (Trade Life Cycle) team which collectively handle trade life cycle processing for the firm. This is a well-established team, with a good mix of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and some newer teammates. The team prides itself on the stability of our system and the ability to tackle and solve problems involving multiple constraints. Also the team has a reputation for being one of the friendliest groups around. .
Core Skills:
Solid experience with Jira
Familiarity with Remedy ITSM Change Management is a plus
Excellent communication skills - able to reach out to team members around the globe using a variety of tools
Skilled user of MS Office tools - specifically: Excel, Outlook
Knowledge of SQL/Sybase for querying relational databases is a plus
Knowledge of Linux operating environment is a plus
Person must be very organized and able to plan ahead
Ability to analyse problems, synthesize potential solutions and document results
Ability to summarize information and provide context and rationale for decisions
Detail oriented - attention to detail is a requirement to ensure that all requirements are properly addressed and documented
Financial Industry experience, in particular Interest Rate Derivatives, is beneficial to understand the working environment
Able to digest lengthy documents, convert business requirements to technical specifications and formulate plans
Experience with a project management skill set with ability to self-correct
Diligent about tracking down answers to outstanding risks, issues and questions
Able to work on multiple tight deadlines
Person must have a degree of flexibility and able to handle uncertainty
Knowledge of Agile methodology is a plus
